At Manunda Terrace, we are proud to be a school where every child is known, supported, and valued.

We are a small, vibrant school in Karama, with around 200 students from Preschool to Year 6. Our community is rich in culture, with over 68% of students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and over 45% who speak languages other than English at home. We celebrate this diversity and see it as one of our greatest strengths.

At Manunda Terrace, relationships come first. We work closely with families to ensure every child feels safe, confident, and ready to learn each day. Our approach is guided by our strong wellbeing focus and the use of the Berry Street Education Model, helping us support both learning and emotional development.

Our classrooms are focused on high-quality teaching, including programs such as Read Write Inc, and Heggarty. Our school is grounded in explicit instruction and the science of learning, ensuring every student has the clarity, support and structure to grow. This commitment and approach to instructional practice extends across our curriuclum including STEM, Health and Physical Education, Japanese, and Key Word Signing. Our Learning Commission empowers students to take an active role in shaping their learning environment, building leadership, voice and agency.

We are proud of our strong partnerships with organisations such as Charles Darwin University, The Smith Family, and Danila Dilba which help us provide additional support and opportunities for our students.

Most importantly, Manunda Terrace is a place of belonging. We are a school that cares deeply about our students, our families, and our community.
We welcome you to come in, have a chat, and see our school in action.
